900–930 MHz 5 dBi Black Fiberglass Omni Antenna, N-Male, KSANT-11273-A

The 900 MHz band is the long-range band for IoT, LoRa, sensor networks and rural cellular, and the demand for antennas that cover the 900–930 MHz span on a single mast has never been higher. Site planners are constantly challenged to cover sensors and gateways in every direction on a band where the devices move around the site, and there is nothing to aim at. The solution lies in a slim fiberglass omni that puts gain on the horizon and keeps efficiency high. We are proud to introduce the 900–930 MHz 5 dBi Black Fiberglass Omni Antenna, model KSANT-11273-A, a 600 mm linear-polarized radiator engineered for 900 MHz IoT, LoRa and outdoor cellular.

This antenna represents a practical balance between gain, efficiency and physical size. Its core advantage is the format: a single 600 mm radome of 20 mm diameter, weighing 0.2 kg, finished in glossy black and terminated in an integrated N-male connector. The band is covered from 900 to 930 MHz at 50 Ohm with VSWR <2.0, peak gain is 5 dBi, and the horizontal pattern is a full 360°. Power handling is 100 W, the element is DC grounded, and the build is rated for wind of 36.9 m/s across an operating range of −45 °C to +85 °C. It is the practical choice where one slim antenna has to serve every 900 MHz device that can see the pole.

Technical Excellence: The Core Advantage

The antenna's performance rests on three pillars: high efficiency, a clean 5 dBi gain, and a slim build for real installations.

90% Efficiency Across the Band

The standout number is efficiency. The datasheet specifies 90%, and the chamber measurements track it closely: 86.9% at 900 MHz rising to 94.7% at 925 MHz, with peak gain between 4.7 and 4.9 dBi. That is an unusually efficient radiator for a 900 MHz omni, and it matters for battery-powered sensor networks: a more efficient antenna means more link margin at the same transmitter power, or the same link margin at lower power. The vertical beamwidth is 30–34°, which is wide enough to cover sensors and gateways at ground level as well as rooftop units.

A Clean Match from 900 to 930 MHz

The specified match is VSWR <2.0 across the band, and the stored trace marks 1.31 at 900 MHz and 1.25 at 930 MHz, with return loss of 17.4 dB and 19.0 dB at those two points. That margin keeps a 900 MHz radio at its top modulation step even at the band edges, and it is what a LoRa gateway, an IoT base station or a rural cellular node actually sweeps against. Impedance is 50 Ohm nominal throughout, so no matching section is needed between the antenna and the feeder.

A Slim 0.2 kg Radome with an N-Male Feed

The radome is 20 mm in diameter and 0.2 kg, so it can be carried up a ladder by one hand and mounted on a wall bracket or a light pole without extra support. The finish is glossy black, which reads as infrastructure rather than as a product on a pole. Maximum power is 100 W, which covers 900 MHz base stations, gateways and multi-carrier radios. The connector is an integrated N-male, the standard threaded interface on a mast, and the element is DC grounded so static charge drains to the mast rather than down the coax. Mechanical qualification is stated rather than assumed: a ≥200 N tensile test, a 1 m drop test, vibration from 10–55 Hz at 0.35 mm displacement and 50.0 m/s² over 30 sweep cycles, and voltage resistance of 1.5 kV insulation, 1.5 kV sheath and 0.5 kV insulation-to-sheath. The product is RoHS compliant.

Versatile Application Scenarios

The combination of 5 dBi, 90% efficiency and a slim 600 mm radome makes this antenna useful wherever one pole has to serve 900 MHz devices in every direction.

900 MHz LoRa, IoT and Sensor Networks

LoRa and IoT gateways: one omni covers a campus, a farm or a site on the 900 MHz band, and the round pattern keeps sensor links predictable around the mast.

Sensor and camera networks: outdoor cameras and sensors benefit from the high efficiency, because it gives more link margin at the same battery life.

900 MHz Cellular and Rural Broadband

Rural and suburban cellular: one 900 MHz omni on a mast covers a wider area than a 2.4 or 5 GHz radio, which is what rural coverage actually needs.

Private LTE and CBRS-style deployments: the 900 MHz band provides longer range and better wall penetration than higher bands, and one omni serves the whole cell.

Roof and Pole Installations

Street poles and light masts: the 0.2 kg weight and glossy black finish suit wall brackets, parapets and light poles where a panel would look intrusive.

Remote and unattended sites: the −45 °C to +85 °C range and 36.9 m/s wind rating cover outdoor cabinets that have to survive weather without maintenance.

Conclusion: The Future of 900 MHz Omnis

The 900–930 MHz 5 dBi Black Fiberglass Omni Antenna, KSANT-11273-A, is more than a passive component. It is the part that decides whether a 900 MHz site covers a campus or one corner of it. By covering 900–930 MHz at 50 Ohm with VSWR <2.0, delivering 90% efficiency and 5 dBi, and carrying 100 W behind an integrated N-male connector on a 600 mm black radome, it gives planners a footprint they can predict before the site survey. The 0.2 kg weight, 36.9 m/s wind rating and −45 °C to +85 °C operating range state its limits up front. For any 900 MHz deployment that needs one slim antenna to serve everything in sight, this antenna is the practical choice.
